Zynga launched several new crops this week: Cranberries, Pattypan Squash, and Acorn Squash, so I thought I’d update my tables for active players out there. So yes, this is Yet Another Farmville Post (YAFP).
For quick reference, here are the links to my first seven Farmville posts:

I’ve updated my tables to include the new crops. You’ll notice that none of the new crops are significantly differentiated by either experience or profit.
Please remember, all tables normalize the values for one square per day (24 hour day), and include the cost and experience involved with plowing the square per cycle.

Thanks for update table of FarmVille about Cranberries,Acorn Squash,Pattypan Squash
Hey, why don’t you create a google doc public, read-only spreadsheet with these values so we can all easily follow updates as zynga pushes out new plants/trees/animals etc? Would make it much easier to follow these 🙂
Hi Adam, first, thank you for your blog, it has been very helpful. I play Farmville and I want to ask you: I have been planting tomatoes because in your tables I can see you have more benefits from other vegetables and fruits…but I dont really see my profits up..I can harvest 2 times per day, I lost night time ..What I feel is that my income dont increase, when I harvest and then plant again, Im in the same spot…How could I obtain more benefist for buy a building or decorations without loose all my capital….
If my question sound too simple for you Im sorry, Im not too good with numbers, what you do with numbers and stadistics is amazing,
KEEP GOING and thanks for yout help,
Cinddy from Dominican Republic
The problem is that the model assumes you can plant tomatoes three times per day. If you can’t, you won’t make as much money. Personally, I planted tomatoes until I got grapes, and then that was the winner until I got to peas.
Very impressive. Thank you for sharing your hard work and interest.
Well, nice .. I could not find what I was looking for, but still .. You need to update the xp-> coin conversion as 1xp = 10 coins . As you can plow a square, plant soy beans and delete it all together. you get 3 xp for 30 coins. Ah and if you are willing to add in sweet seeds that makes 4 xp for 25 coins.
Happy Farmer,
If you re-read my previous posts, you’ll see why I specifically do NOT use the 10 coin equivalence for XP. There are a range of ways to value XP, and 15 happens to be right in the middle of all of them.
Adam
First, I would like to thank you very much for your guide Adam, it has greatly helped me reach level 31 in only 3 1/2 weeks of playing.
You have Sugar Cane listed twice in every list…is there a reason for this? Because i only see 1 sugar cane in my market (however i did start playing after this post was released). If you could let me know that would be awesome! Thanks Adam.
Thanks for catching this – I assume I got the label wrong, and I’m missing another crop. Let me check, and I’ll post the fix.
I just figured out – I had mislabeled Lavendar as Sugar Cane. I just fixed the blog post.
I’m a bit surprised that no one else caught the problem until now!
1. I too am a stat-aholic, however I lean towards Access more than Excel.
2. As far as I can tell the only true limitation placed on any farm is space, and as long as all we talk about are crops that space is equal. However, some animals (calf in particular) take up less than one plot (16 squares) of space. You could place 16 calves in the space of 1 crop. The greatest profit/day is super berries (no longer available) at 900/day/plot. Calves produce 80 coins each/day and 16 in a plot yields 1280/day/plot with no withering or plowing or exp :-(.
just thought i’d share that
Can you please tell me how to calculate the maximum return on the effort (numbers of time I have to harvest+plow+seed) in the comparable period of time? This is similar to ROI, here investment is the time spent – I have to get online to perform the clicking and cursing at the pop ups. Disregarding the time the crop needed to grow, because, I will be off line.
Also, the “return” I am looking for is in XP.
So, will this return = XP per day?
Investment (crop effort) = cycle time (in hours) / 24?
So, ROI formula will be:
XP per day * (cycle time/24)?
Blueberry = 12 * 4/24= 2
Peas = 4 * 24/24 = 4
If this is correct, how can I build the spread sheet table?
